Nicholas Mario Granadino, a 28-year-old white man, died Wednesday, Sept. 4, after he was shot in the 21800 block of Halldale Boulevard in Harbor Gateway, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
On Monday, Sept. 2, at about 7:30 p.m., Granadino was hanging out with a group of people on a street corner, said Los Angeles Police Officer Jeffrey Tiffin.
A car pulled up and a person inside inquired about the group’s gang affiliation, then fired two shots, Tiffin said.
Granadino was shot in the head and taken to a hospital. Granadino was pronounced dead Sept. 4 at 5:35 p.m., according to coroner’s records.
The vehicle was described as a gray or silver sedan and fled east on West 218th Street.
No one else was injured in the shooting, police said.
