Ralph Simonian, 82
Ralph Simonian, identified by the coroner's office as an 82-year-old white man, was killed Thursday, Nov. 15, in the 900 block of South Holiday Drive in West Covina, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Firefighters responded to a call that Simonian's house was on fire at about 11:15 a.m., said Ed Winter, coroner’s spokesman. They found Simonian on the floor, partially burned and with a slashed throat.
He also had wounds to his chest, abdomen and back, according to preliminary coroner’s records. Simonian was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:30 a.m.
The investigation is continuing.
