Randy Bonilla, 28

Randy Bonilla, a 28-year-old white man, was shot and killed Thursday, Oct. 18, in the 2500 block of Continental Avenue in South El Monte, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Sheriff’s deputies found Bonilla, who is also known as Randy Duran, suffering from a gunshot to the upper torso.

He was taken to County USC Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

On Oct. 31, officials arrested two suspects in connection with the shooting: Fernando Olivo, 34, of South El Monte and his girlfriend Kathryn Gilbert, 27, of Redondo Beach.

Olivo was charged with murder while Gilbert, suspected of being an accessory to the murder, was not charged, authorities said.

Police have yet to release a motive for the shooting or if the victim and suspect had a prior relationship.
