Richard Aldana, 16

Richard Aldana, a 16-year-old Latino teenager, was shot and killed Sunday, Dec. 16, in the 1500 block of West 208th Street in Harbor Gateway, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Aldana was riding his bicycle about 8:20 p.m. when he was approached by unknown Latinos, possibly in a blue car, according to an LAPD news release.

The assailants then shot Aldana. Paramedics were called and the victim was taken to the hospital ,where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators said the incident is not believed to be gang-related.
