Richard Oscar O'Dell, 37

Richard Oscar O’Dell, a 37-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Saturday, April 7, in the 1500 block of McDonald Avenue in Wilmington, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Police said O’Dell was standing alone in the area shortly after 1 a.m. when a person shot him.

It’s unknown whether the shooter walked up to O’Dell or shot him from a vehicle.

O’Dell was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:30 a.m., according to coroner’s records. Police are trying to determine why he was shot.
