Rodney Dwayne Freeman, 31

Rodney Dwayne Freeman, a 31-year-old black man, was fatally shot Thursday, Aug. 30, in the 1600 block of West 82nd Street in Manchester Square, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Freeman was shot about 12:25 a.m, said Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner’s office.

He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4 a.m.

No other details are available at this time.

ITS REALLY SAD TO HEAR THIS AND HARD TO BELIEVE BUT ONLY GOD KNOWS WHY... ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT HE WAS AN AMAZING PERSON WE ALL FAR SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD BUT GOD IS VERY MERCIFUL SO BY FAITH I KNOW HE IS IN A BETTER PLACE ONE THAT HE IS ACTUALLY ENJOYING. RODNEY WAS A VERY SPECIAL PERSON IN MY LIFE THAT I WILL NEVER FORGET SO MANY MEMORIES THAT WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN GOOD N BAD BUT MOSTLY GOOD. THOSE GOOD TIMES IS WHAT I WILL ALWAYS HOLD ON TOO AND REMEMBER YOU AS. NO MATTER WHAT. WE WENT THOUGH A LOT TOGETHER AND IT WAS ALWAYS MY PLEASURE TOO HELP YOU WHEN YOU NEEDED ME N I WAS AROUND. YOU WILL ALWAYS REMAIN IN MY PRAYERS AND IN MY HEART. there is nobody righteous enough to judge anybody but i know that he was a very blessed person and a great human being he was the most strongest person i known a real man a brave and strong man that went through it and still kept on going even though he had been through a lot mentally emotionally and physically he didn't let that break him he still continued his life and i will always admire him for that all my love and respects to you Rodney and i know i will see you in heaven your journey in this earth ended but it doesn't mean it stops here GOD had blessed you with more years of life when you could have been gone so long ago so i know you are happy and at peace where you are at now it doesn't matter what you did or how you lived your life God is loving and merciful.....
