Rosa Ramos, 82
Rosa Ramos, 82, a Latino female, was smothered to death at 6423 Topeka Drive in Reseda. Her time of death was listed as 11:02 a.m. Feb. 20.
Ramos was found dead inside her home in by her daughter, who arrived that morning to take her to the doctor.
Update: On March 5, police announced they had arrested Ramos' son, 49-year-old Albino Ramos, in connection with the murder. Ramos, described by police as a drinker, had been taking money and checks from his mother, and she had threatened to kick him out of the house, investigators said. He had a history of violence against her and against other women, they said.
