Salvador Rosales, 78
The charred body of Salvador Rosales, a 78-year-old Latino, was found Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, in the 3856 South Redondo Boulevard in Crenshaw, according to the Los Angeles County coroner.
His body and the body of his daughter Cristina Rosales, a 34-year-old Latina, were found inside their home after a suspicious fire, according to the Los Angeles police.
Authorities had been called to the scene after a "distraught woman" called 911 shortly before 1 a.m., according to an LAPD news release.
The woman told the dispatcher "he is setting the house on fire,” and screamed before the telephone went dead.
A 63-year-old woman, identified by police as Christina's mother and Salvador's wife, was critically injured in the fire. At the time, police said she was expected to survive.
