Susan Ann Molina, 44
Susan Molina, a 44-year-old Latina, was found dead from blunt-force injuries on Saturday, March 28, 2009, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.
The incident took place in her home, in the 2700 block of Larkhill Drive in West Covina, where she was beaten to death and found days later by a family friend who became concerned about her, said Lt. Ron Mitchell of the West Covina Police Department.
Julie McChristy, 37, Molina's roommate, has been charged in the slaying, officials said. McChristy plead not guilty at an arraignment April 16, and her next scheduled court date is May 13.
McChristy was found in Omaha boarding a train to San Francisco when she was picked up by U.S. Marshals and taken into custody, Mitchell said.
She waived her extradition hearing, and was brought back to California by police. Mitchell said police don't have a motive for the killing.
