Taz Buffington Rudd, a 56-year-old white male, died Monday, Feb. 1, after being shot near the E/O of Northbound 110 Freeway south of Avenue 60 in Montecito Heights, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

If you knew Taz I mean truly knew him you will know how devastating this loss is. This world was a better place with Taz in it and he certainly made my life better. He was one of the best people I've ever known in my entire life and I don't think I will ever get over this. He was the real deal because he was born a rockstar. He had an open heart and one amazing soul. There was no one like him and there never will be again. If you were his friend you felt incredibly accepted for who you were. And yes he told you the truth no matter what LOL! He had to be one of the most non-judgemental people to ever walk this Earth. I still can't find the words to express the man Taz Rudd was and still is... his love and friendship was the virtual definition of unconditional and his talent was God given because when he was on stage or he when he was just sitting around playing guitar you know it came from his heart and soul. I'll See You Again Taz! Not a minute goes by since I heard that I don't feel this loss. And those of you who truly knew him and loved him I know exactly what I'm talking about. But I think Rose Kennedy said it best "It has been said that time heals all wounds. I don't agree. The wounds remain. In time, the Mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessons. But it is never gone.
