Tustin man found guilty of killing estranged wife

A Tustin man was found guilty Dec. 2 of a 2013 murder in Montebello, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.

According to Deputy Dist. Atty. Pallavi Dhawan, the jury deliberated less than a day before finding Arthur Andrew Andrade Jr., guilty of first-degree murder.

Esperanza Soria, a 24-year-old Latina, was shot and killed March 16, 2013, in the 100 block of West Washington Boulevard in Montebello, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Andrade, a 31-year-old Latino, shot his estranged wife multiple times in the parking lot of a Montebello restaurant where she worked.

Soria died at the scene.

Andrade, who faces a maximum sentence of 50 years to life in state prison, is expected back in court Jan. 29 for sentencing.
