Wini Mary Haughey, 46

Wini Haughey, a 46-year-old white woman, died Monday, Sept. 20, two days after she suffered blunt-force injuries in the 21000 block of Mayall Street in Chatsworth, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Haughey was found by her brother at her residence on Sept. 18 about 6 a.m., said Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office.

Authorities were called and she was taken by paramedics to Northridge Hospital Medical Center, where she died Sept. 20 at 9 a.m., according to coroner's records.

LAPD Devonshire Det. Floyd Walton said there is a person of interest  being held in connection with the case.

Haughey's former boyfriend, Roy Emil Marks, was arrested on a parole warrant the day after she died and is being held at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in downtown during the homicide investigation, Walton said.

Marks, a 30-year-old black man, lived with Haughey on and off for the past six months. At this time, investigators are not looking for any other suspects, Walton said.
