Albert Elvira, 16
Albert Elvira, 16, a Latino youth, was shot and left mortally wounded in the 31000 block of Chaucer Street in Cypress Park about 7:20 p.m. Sunday, April 27.
Homicide Det. Jose Carillo of LAPD's Northeast Division said Elvira was approached by gang members and shot mutliple times. He was taken to County-USC Medical Center and was pronounced dead at 8:10 p.m., according to a coroner's report.
Elvira was a student at Eagle Rock High School, Carillo said.
