Deon Eric Robinson, 47

Deon Eric Robinson, a 47-year-old black man, was fatally shot Saturday, Oct. 7, in the 1200 block of East 56th Street in Long Beach, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records. 

Long Beach police responded to a call about shots fired in the area about midnight, according to a news release. Once there, officers found Robinson, who had been shot in the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:17 a.m., according to coroner’s records. 

Police also found another man with gunshot wounds to his stomach and legs. He was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive his injuries. Investigators do not have a motive for the shooting.
