Domonick Anderson, 38

Domonick Eugene Anderson, a 38-year-old black man, was fatally shot during a fight in the 8500 block of south Figueroa Street in Los Angeles about 2:15 p.m. Thursday, July 24.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Anderson was involved in a fight with the suspect in the parking lot of Manchester Place, a strip mall. During the argument, the suspect pulled out a handgun and fired one round at Anderson, who attempted to run into a discount store. Anderson collapsed in the doorway of the store and was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Officer Jason Lee of the Los Angeles Police Department's media relations office, the suspect was described as a black man with salt and pepper hair, wearing a vertical striped shirt and a white shirt. Authorities said he was seen running east through the parking area toward Figueroa Street.
