Emitt Love Jr., 25

Emitt Love Jr., 25, a young black man, was found shot to death at a bus stop near Century Boulevard and Vermont Avenue in Athens about 10:45 p.m. Sunday, June 1.

According to L.A. County Sheriff's Department, Love was standing on the sidewalk when another black man approached and shot him in the upper torso. The man then got into a dark colored vehicle and fled south on Vermont Avenue, authorities said. More Soon

Family members said they will gather at the corner of Century Boulevard and Vermont between 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. The family said they are seeking donations for funeral services.
