Thomas Miles Ingram, a 43-year-old black man, was shot and killed Friday, March 28, in an alley near West Florence Avenue and Cimarron Street in Chesterfield Square, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 9:20 p.m., Dorian George Hernandez, 42, drove a light-colored SUV into an alley in the area to pick up Ingram, said LAPD Det. Sal LaBarbera. Ingram got into the car and a group of about three to five people stood around the car before walking away, LaBarbera said.

Then, a person walked up and shot at Hernandez and Ingram from the driver’s side more than 10 times. The person fled on foot.

Ingram was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:05 p.m., according to coroner’s records. Hernandez also died at the scene.
