Ian Antonio Davis-Alexander, a 23-year-old black man, died Wednesday, Dec. 30, after he was shot in the 900 block of East 120th Street in Green Meadows, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Shortly after 6:05 p.m. on Dec. 29, Davis-Alexander was standing outside an apartment complex, LAPD Det. Dave Garrido said.

Two people walked up and opened fire, striking Davis-Alexander.

Davis-Alexander was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead Dec. 30 at 4:08 p.m.

Aaron Harts, a 22-year-old black man, died Thursday, Nov. 19,  after he was shot in the 8800 block of South Central Avenue in Green Meadows, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 11:50 p.m. on Nov. 18, Harts and a 25-year-old Latino were walking on the sidewalk when a white four-door sedan driving west on East 88th Place stopped, said LAPD Det. Dave Garrido. Three people got out of the sedan and asked Harts and the other man what gang they were with.

Harts and the 25-year-old said they were not with a gang.  One or more people opened fire, striking Harts in the back.

The 25-year-old was struck in the leg. Both were taken to a hospital.  Harts was pronounced dead at 12:22 a.m. on Nov. 19, according to coroner’s records. The 25-year-old was treated and is expected to survive.

Ciara Grigsby, a 20-year-old black woman, was shot and killed Wednesday, Nov. 18, in the 600 block of East 97th Street in Green Meadows, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Shortly before 7:30 p.m., Grigsby and a 57-year-old black man were walking east on East 97th Street when they came across two other people, said LAPD Det. Dave Garrido.

One of the men asked Grigsby and the man she was with what gang they were affiliated with, Garrido said.

One of the men then opened fire, hitting Grigsby. The man who was with Grigsby suffered a graze wound to his foot and was treated at the scene.

Grigsby was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 7:45 p.m., according to coroner’s records.

Santyone Moore, a 27-year-old black man, was shot and killed Friday, Sept. 4, in the 9300 block of South Central Avenue in Green Meadows, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 3 a.m., Moore and three others were driving north on South Central Avenue in a dark-colored Dodge sedan when another vehicle pulled alongside them, LAPD Det. Rick Gordon said.

A person inside the other vehicle began shooting at the dark-colored sedan, wounding Moore and two others. The three victims were taken to a hospital; a man and woman are expected to survive.

Moore was pronounced dead at 3:56 a.m., according to coroner’s records.

Gordon said detectives do not yet have a clear suspect vehicle description.

Cesar Zamora Rodriguez, a 54-year-old Latino male, died Sunday, April 12, after sustaining blunt force trauma in Green Meadows, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Serafin Regalado-Ortiz, a 40-year-old Latino, died Tuesday, March 10, nearly a month after he was assaulted in the 300 block of East 91st Street on the border of Green Meadows and Broadway-Manchester, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

On Friday, Feb. 20, about 10:10 a.m., Regalado-Ortiz was a passenger in a Toyota Tacoma truck driving west on East 91st Street, said LAPD Det. Dave Garrido.

The truck came to a stop and a man who was following in another vehicle walked up to the truck, opened the passenger side door and pulled Regalado-Ortiz out.

The man assaulted Regalado-Ortiz, who hit his head on the pavement. Regalado-Ortiz was taken to a hospital, where he remained until he was pronounced dead at 8:20 a.m. on March 10, said Ed Winter, assistant chief of investigations for the coroner's office. William Patrick Brown, a 29-year-old black man, was shot and killed Monday, March 9, near South San Pedro Street & East 105th Street in Green Meadows, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Brown was driving west on East 105th Street about 5 p.m. when he was shot inside his car, said LAPD Det. Rick Gordon. Brown's car careened out of control.

Police are still trying to determine whether a person shot Brown from the street or another vehicle.

John Sawyer, a 52-year- old black man, was shot and killed Monday, Feb. 9, in the 8900 block of South Central Avenue in Green Meadows, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Sawyer was standing on the sidewalk shortly before 10 p.m. when a person walked up to him and opened fire, said LAPD Capt. Peter Whittingham.

Sawyer was pronounced dead at the scene and the gunman ran east on East 89th Street.

Kalease Kenyon Harris, a 15-year-old black teenager, was shot and killed Thursday, Jan. 29, near Avalon Boulevard and East 105th Street in Green Meadows, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 5 p.m., Harris was walking north on Avalon Boulevard with four other people when they were fired upon by people in a Lexus, said LAPD Det. Dave Garrido.

Harris was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 5:42 p.m., said Ed Winter, assistant chief of investigations for the coroner’s office.

No one else was injured in the shooting, Garrido said.
