Arthur George Palmer, a 73-year-old white man, was found dead from blunt-force injuries Friday, July 24, in the 3000 block of Frances Avenue in La Crescenta, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene about 1:30 p.m. by a neighbor who had not seen or heard from Palmer in some time, according to a department news release.
When deputies arrived, they found Palmer’s body inside the garage that is attached to his home, according to the release. He had multiple blunt-force injuries to the head, according to coroner’s records, and was pronounced dead at 1:45 p.m.
Palmer was known to be a recluse, according to the release. Investigators are interested in talking to anyone who saw Palmer, or visited his home, prior to his death.

Adrine Arzumanyan, a 33-year-old Armenian woman, was found dead Friday, April 29, after her body was dumped near the La Crescenta Avenue exit on the westbound 210 Freeway in La Crescenta-Montrose, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Motorists reported seeing a man push Arzumanyan's body out of a car shortly before 5:45 p.m., police said. Authorities were called and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Coroner's records show she was shot several times.
The man, who was driving a black Honda, was stopped by Glendale police on the southbound 2 Freeway near the Mountain Avenue off-ramp. He was taken to a nearby hospital after police discovered that he was suffering from a gunshot wound. The man had shot himself in an attempted suicide, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
