Albert Novshadyan, 20

Albert Novshadyan, identified by the coroner's office as a 20-year-old white man, died Tuesday, Feb. 28, three days after he was assaulted at the Twin Towers Jail in the 400 block of Bauchet Street in Los Angeles, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Novshadyan was an inmate at the time of his death.

He was critically hurt during a fight Feb. 25, Los Angeles County sheriff's officials said. He was taken to a hospital, where he died several days later.

Coroner's records show the victim was beaten by an inmate and suffered severe head trauma.

Sheriff's homicide Det. Ron Duval said the investigation was ongoing, and officials hope to charge someone in connection with the death in the next week.

This is wrong this jail should get shut down or get 10 more guards the cops could have saved a life instead of running their mouths and talking they should have and could have stopped but since they didnt I think they were involved if there was a lockdown a day before for Albert and the retard they should have had 50 cops eyes on both of them . This is not only wrong it's sad how they did nothing and to all the people that witnessed this sorry you had to but the right thing to do from now on is come forward and help out the family by speaking to the lawyer it is confidential so why not u stood and watched it why not now stand and actually do something about it get that retard guilty for our family , friend , brother , parents and Alberts peace . It is sad that I had to witness this happen right before my own eyes. I put myself in danger by telling what I saw. This is a big no no, and usually ends up real bad. I knew that telling what I saw was bad, but I guess not saying anything would even have been worse. The person who did this is a predator and like any bad animal needs to be put down. The sad part is it if he does get the needle, it will not make things any better. Albert won't go home to his family. I have had a lot of time to reflect on this event, and every time I do it comes down to the police being irresponsible and not doing their job. Why did it take so long for the cops to get there ? I know why because it was shift change and they were b-sing with each other rather than paying attention to the pods. The normal # of cops at every floor (sheriffs) is at least three not counting the jailers. Where was every body. I wish I would have had the courage to have at least have tried to stop this, maybe it would have been the one good thing I did in my life. I froze like a dear in the head lights and just watched this person bash this kids head into the cement until it cracked like an egg. I cooperated with the investigators working for the family. I feel guilt even now. All I wanted to do was get the chance to talk with them and tell them how sorry I am for not stepping up.Sure it wasn't my race or my fight but what was happening was wrong and I didn't do S. Jail is a dangerous place, but when the Sheriff's do not do their job it is even more dangerous. What happened to this young man was wrong. The morning of this terrible crime there were no Sheriffs in the control bubble just jailers, and female at that. there were three and they were about 5 foot nothing. I saw what happened, I was extremely close, It is a burden of guilt I will carry always in my soul because I did not stop it. I am so very sorry to those who knew and loved Albert. From my short time meeting him he was a nice kid. The jail messed up and put that predator back into our pod. He was in our pod 30 days prior and stumped out a cuban guy and kicked him so hard it messed up his eye, detached retna. In the short time that piece of sh;;; was in our pod (pod is a grouping of 16 cells 32 people max), he was in three fights, and one of them was with albert over his pod trustee job. Thats why this idiot went after him in the morning because albert stood his ground. We got locked down shortly after the fight occured that evening, so it was un finished business so when we woke up for morning count he went right for him. hours later. You see he was in a fight with two different people prior to this incident, and they did nothing. I hope to be able to see the piece of sh;;; get the needle. Once again Im so very sorry. ezduzit
