Alexander Gonzalez, a 35-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Thursday, March 24, near West Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and South Raymond Avenue in Vermont Square, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 5:30 p.m., Gonzalez was driving a BMW SUV north on South Raymond Avenue and stopped at an intersection, said Los Angeles police Det. Rob Lait.

Another vehicle pulled alongside the SUV and a person fired into it, Lait said.

Gonzalez was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:52 p.m., according to coroner’s records.

The vehicle fled east on West Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

So SMH...what you said is partially true..after finding out what happened and what is and was taking place in that neighborhood..is that there was a guy from a very known gang that had bells ringing..him not only being from a different gang that is not like very well,but the fact that he is a different race(black) not that it matters..made a that MLS gang real mad well being that he some how "told" other gangs to come and attack them caused MLS to run to MS13 and hype the situation..what was said was bad being this guy had alot of power and individuals was afraid of what he may become.MS 13 decsended apon that neiborhood and tried to set up shop if a effort to do so they told MLS to give them info on all the ATC and 18st members live in exchange they would be given..what ever so they did so..this is where it gets strange..this individual was shot around the corner from his house in 2017 by the very ones that did this to this hard working man..They was watching all of there enemy's very move for some time.. the work of marasalvatrucha cold and caculated.its very scary.
