Eddie Lewis Luboyera, 46

Eddie Lewis Luboyera, a 46-year-old Latino, was fatally stabbed Tuesday March 21, in the 4000 block of South Western Avenue in Vermont Square, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 12:20 p.m., police responded to the parking lot of a CVS where they found Luboyera on the ground next to his Volkswagen Jetta, suffering from a cut to his neck, said Los Angeles Police Det. Dave Garrido.

Luboyera was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:10 p.m., according to coroner’s records.

Lawanica Guidry, a 51-year-old black woman, was arrested March 30 on suspicion of murder, according to online jail records.

Guidry was charged April 3 with one count of second-degree robbery and one count of murder with the special circumstance that it was committed during a robbery,  according to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.

An arraignment was continued to April 19, and Guidry is being held without bail.

Police said they believe the killing was connected to a narcotics dispute between Luboyera and Guidry, but they declined to elaborate.
