Enrique Romero, 39
Enrique Romero, a 39-year-old Latino, died after being shot July 24 near West 151st Street and South Maie Avenue in Compton, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
Sheriff’s deputies were near West Compton Boulevard and North Dwight Avenue when they heard gunshots coming from a neighborhood to the west, according to a sheriff's news release.
Deputies searched the area and found Romero lying on the street suffering from gunshot wounds. Romero was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:15 a.m., according to coroner’s records.
