Gary Trasean Timothy Sanders Jr., 20

Gary Sanders Jr., a 20-year-old black man, died Tuesday, July 26, hours after he was shot in the 200 block of East 87th Place in Broadway-Manchester, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Sanders was discovered shortly before midnight Monday on the sidewalk outside a home. He had suffered more than one gunshot wound, coroner's records show.

Paramedics rushed Sanders to a hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Det. Sal LaBarbera of the Los Angeles Police Department said investigators were attempting to identify and locate anyone who may have witnessed the killing. Sanders is believed to have been with a group of people prior to the shooting.

Investigators said the incident may have been gang-related. There is no description of the shooter.
