Iman Naomi Wright, 23

Iman Naomi Wright, a 23-year-old black woman, was fatally stabbed Sunday, Jan. 19, in the 4000 block of West Pico Boulevard in Arlington Heights, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Shortly after midnight, officers responded to a call of a stabbing inside a nightclub, said Los Angeles Police Det. Sean Kinchla. 

Police found Wright on the ground bleeding from the chest, Kinchla said. 

Wright was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 1:32 a.m., according to coroner's records.

Police said there was a dispute inside the nightclub that led to the stabbing, but did not give specifics. Wright and the assailant knew each other, police said. 

Elaine De Leon Guerrero, a 34-year-old black woman, has been charged with one count of murder, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney's office.  

De Leon Guerrero has pleaded not guilty and is due back in court May 6, according to court records.
