Jorge Luis Garcia, 24
Jorge Luis Garcia, a 24-year-old Latino, was shot to death Saturday, Sept. 24, in the 2400 block of South Garey Avenue in Pomona, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
At about midnight, Pomona police received a call about shots fired in the area, Sgt. Brian Hagerty said. Officers found Garcia near a gas station with several gunshot wounds, Hagerty said. Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:35 a.m., according to coroner’s records.
Detectives believe Garcia got into a dispute with someone at the gas station, said Hagerty.
