Joseph Medrano, 30
Joseph Medrano, a 30-year-old Latino, died Monday, Nov. 26, in the 500 block of Kendall Avenue in Montecito Heights, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Police responding to a 911 call at 3:55 p.m. discovered Medrano strangled, said Ed Winter, coroner’s spokesman.
He was pronounced dead at 4:21 p.m.
Medrano died in a struggle with a woman who was later taken into custody. She was later released after detectives determined she killed Medrano in self defense, said LAPD Detective Jorge Alfaro.
