Martha Patricia Starr, 59
Martha Starr, a 59-year-old white woman, died Thursday, Jan. 14, a day after she was shot in the 29100 block of Flowerpark Drive in Santa Clarita, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Ed Winter, a spokesman for the coroner's office, said Starr was allegedly shot by her husband about 11 p.m. Jan. 13. She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead about nine hours later, Winter said.
Jail records indicate that Gordon Starr, a 64-year-old white man, was arrested by Santa Clarita sheriff's deputies shortly after 11 p.m. on the night of the shooting. He is being held in lieu of $2-million bail at Twin Towers jail facility in Los Angeles. Starr, according to records, is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 8.
