A story for every victim

Raivon Robinson, 19

Raivon Robinson, a 19-year-old black man, died Tuesday, June 21, after he was shot in the 1200 block of West 90th Street in the Westmont neighborhood of South Los Angeles, according to Los Angeles County coroner records.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies were called about a gunshot victim lying on a porch about 10:50 p.m. on Sunday, June 19, Lt. Steve Jauch said.

Robinson was taken to Harbor UCLA Medical Center by ambulance, where he was pronounced dead two days later at 9 a.m., according to coroner’s records. Jauch said Robinson had been shot in the head.

Homicide investigators weren’t called until after Robinson died, Jauch said.

“We have no witness information, no suspect information, and we don’t know exactly how he was killed, other than he was found on a front porch,” Jauch said.

Robinson lived in another part of Los Angeles, and investigators don’t know why he was in Westmont, Jauch said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500. Those wishing to remain anonymous should call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
