Robert Henning, a 22-year-old man, was shot and killed by a sheriff's deputy Tuesday, Feb. 21, in the 16600 block of Paramount Boulevard in Paramount, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

The incident occurred about 12:30 a.m. as deputies were attempting to approach a man, later identified as Henning, suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol, KTLA-TV reported.

There appeared to be a struggle for one deputy's gun, KTLA reported, and the deputy shot Henning twice in the upper body. He was pronounced dead at a hospital, Deputy Aura Sierra said.

The deputy involved in the shooting was uninjured. He was not immediately identified.

Bobby used to skateboard with my son Tyler in Auburn Ca They went to HS together. I was heartbroken when I heard the news. Bobby was always mild mannered and straight up GOOD kid. Nothing about this police report rings true with me. LAPD has been out of control for much to long! In light of recent events and reading Dorners Manifesto exposing the corruption, I am more convinced than ever that Bobby was another victim of the LAPD's lies and cover ups.
Brandi, I am so sorry for your loss and so sad to hear that your child will not have the opportunity to know him as we did. It's truly a tragedy. I Believe with all my heart that it didn't have to happened.
I HOPE and PRAY that Bobby's case will be re-opened and thoroughly investigated by sources OTHER than the LAPD. Obviously they can't be trusted to investigate or police themselves.
Ruben, If you witnessed the shooting, I hope you will come forward if you haven't already. I understand your fears and I don't blame you. Yet something has to be done. Perhaps you could talk with someone above and beyond the LAPD. There has to be a way.
