Yanet Odilia Palma-Perez, 41
Yanet Odilia Palma-Perez, a 41-year-old Latina, died Thursday, April 7, after sustaining blunt-force trauma in the 1600 block of West 51st Street in Vermont Square, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
About 9 a.m., officers responded to a battery in progress at a home, said Los Angeles police Det. Dave Garrido. Palma-Perez was found in her bedroom with blunt-force trauma, Garrido said.
Palma-Perez was pronounced dead at the scene, according to coroner's records.
Palma-Perez’s husband, Hugo Merino Cruz, a 36-year-old Latino, was arrested on suspicion of murder.
Cruz was charged with murder April 11 and is due back in court April 28, according to court records.
