Alrelio Parra Asanaza, 44

Alrelio Parra Asanaza, a 44-year-old Latino, died Monday, July 15, eight days after he was hit in the head in the 400 block of East 110th Street in Broadway-Manchester, according to L.A. County coroner’s records.

Asanaza, a street vendor, was pushing a fruit cart at 9:30 p.m. July 7 when he was attacked by three black men, LAPD Det. Supervisor Sal LaBarbera said. The men struck Asanaza in the head with a blunt object and robbed him, LaBarbera said.

Asanaza was taken to a hospital, where he died July 15 at 4:20 p.m.
