Karim Ali Alexander, 19

Karim Alexander, a 19-year-old black man, was shot and killed Tuesday, Dec. 29, in the 1400 block of East 49th Street in Central-Alameda, according to Los Angeles County coroner's officials.

Ed Winter, a spokesman for the coroner's office, said Alexander was shot in a walk-up style shooting about 7:58 p.m. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 8:26 p.m.

Winter said that at the time of his death there was no suspect in custody.

Karim , its been some mths now since yu've been gone &, i jusst wnt yu too knoo not a day goes byy thht i dnt' think abt yu ... i will always rmbr seeing yu in first period for a whole year &, screamin your name @ graduation ... You were one person no one truly expected too go ... im still finding wayss to deal w.this bcus i just cnt' get ovr the fact thht yu were actually taken from us , bht yu madee an impact in everyo1 yu knew , i wish i could have saidd byee . iff i would have known thht my lasst hugg was literally my Last hugg i would have nvr let goooo &, kept yu in myy arms forever ...
