Ricky Jubert, 35

Ricky Jubert, a 35-year-old black man, was stabbed and killed Monday, Nov. 5, in the 8600 block of Rosecrans Avenue in Paramount, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to calls of an assault with a deadly weapon about 3:26 p.m.

When they arrived, they found Jubert stabbed and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Jubert’s brother, Daveonate Pruitt, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. Authorities said they believe the stabbing was the result of an argument between the brothers.

Pruitt, a 22-year-old black man, is currently being held in lieu of $1-million bail at the Pitchess Detention Center East Facility in Castaic. His next court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 26 at Compton Superior Court.
