Seaborn Mason, 50

Seaborn Mason, a 50-year-old black man, was fatally shot Monday, July 23, in the 400 block of East South Street in Long Beach, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Officials discovered Mason lying injured on the sidewalk about 11:19 p.m., according to a Long Beach Police Department news release.

Mason had sustained multiple gunshots to the upper body. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police are unsure if the shooting was gang-related. There is no information available about the shooter.
