Malisa Muruato, a 22-year-old Latina, was fatally shot Sunday, July 28, in the 8100 block of Celito Drive in South San Gabriel, according to L.A. County coroner’s records.

Deputies responded to a call of shots fired just after 7:30 a.m. and found Muruato and her boyfriend with gunshot wounds, said Ed Winter, a spokesman for the coroner’s office.

Muruato died at the scene at 7:45 a.m., Winter said.

Her boyfriend was taken to a hospital where he died Monday, July 29, said Lt. Wes Sutton with the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies are looking into whether the shooting was a murder-suicide, Sutton said.

My deepest sympathy for both Malisas family as well as Geo's my daughter new both victims.. I say victims because it is uncertain what happend exactly right.? What could have possible happen this horrible morning to make two Ppl end all. As many new both Malisa and Geo you all knew about their struggling relationship and we all should not do any judging in either of these young lifes it is and may be always will be a? Of why why why but I truly think we all should take a minute to two pray for both their souls after all they both were very much loved noone is God to judge what they did not see or witness with their very own eyes we all can make up our own senerials but truth of the matter is we lost two Ppl with a Son in common they both had a mother a father brothers sister friends etc .They both were loved by many and we should honor their memories ..Although we may all have different opinions we all lost a loved one and that is just my opinion .....I pray for both their souls and the family and friends they left behind may we all find peace within our hearts....And may both their souls rest in peace.May their child grow up string healthy and nothing but positive memories about both his parents ..God be with us all..
