Martin Tadeo Osuna-Aguilar, 23

Martin Osuna-Aguilar, a 23-year-old Latino, was shot and killed by police on Monday, June 27, in the 8900 block of Atlantic Avenue in South Gate, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

A confrontation between South Gate police and Osuna-Aguilar occurred at 2:04 a.m. at a motel parking lot. During the conflict, shots were fired, said Sgt. Michael Thomas of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Osuna-Aguilar died at the scene, Thomas said.

The identity of the South Gate officer who shot the fatal round was not released.

Los Angeles County sheriff's investigators will investigate and turn the results over to South Gate police and the L.A. County district attorney's office.

first of all, i have to say these cops in south gate are stupid ass lazy grass and meat eaters they dont do s%*t. they think just because they have a badge they could do whatever they want, but they have to be brougth to the attention they over abuse their authority. now, i am not on the side of the victim nor the cops but i am in college and cops may use deadly force to defend himself and if the suspect dont listen cops have the authority to use reasonable force to stop the suspect . so the people could say "oh he was a great guy never did anything bad" or whatever the case may be you were not there witnessing if the suspect had a weapon. thats just about it!!!!! and yea south gate cops wanna team up on something sooo small that thats why other people wait hours for those pigs on more serious calls.
