Antwan Davon Enwere, 22

Antwan Enwere, a 22-year-old black man, died Thursday, Dec. 23, about half an hour after he was stabbed in the 4300 block of West 116th Street in Hawthorne, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies found Enwere in a walkway suffering from several stab wounds about 11:40 p.m. Dec. 22, according to a Sheriff's Department news release. He was taken to a hospital, where he died at 12:15 a.m., coroner's records show.

During the investigation, detectives learned Enwere was talking to at least two men when a fight began. People living in the area heard yelling and cries for help. When they looked outside, they saw the two men get into a silver sedan and flee the area.

Investigators do not have a description of the assailants and the motive for the stabbing remains unknown.
