Deshawn Anthony Sanders, 23

Deshawn Sanders, a 23-year-old black man, was shot and killed Sunday, Feb. 7, in the 4500 block of 3rd Avenue in Hyde Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner's officials.

Ed Winter, a spokesman for the coroner's office, said Sanders was the victim of a walk-up-style shooting. He was approached by an unknown suspect and shot just after midnight and pronounced dead at 12:37 a.m., Winter said.
