Andres Sanchez, a 48-year-old Latino male, died Monday, June 10, after being shot in Boyle Heights, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.
Eduardo Castro, a 59-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Friday, May 17, in the 1400 block of South Concord Street in Boyle Heights, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s records.
About 12:30 p.m., Castro was riding his bike south on South Concord Street when a truck pulled up and a passenger shot him multiple times, said Los Angeles Police Det. Jose Ramirez.
Castro was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:28 p.m., according to coroner’s records.
Detectives are seeking witnesses to the shooting, which occurred in an industrial area. It’s unknown where Castro was heading.

Raul Nava Lopez, a 42-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Friday, May 3, in the 500 block of South Clarence Street in Boyle Heights, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
Shortly after 10:30 p.m., Lopez parked his red pickup truck outside an apartment building, said Los Angeles police Det. Jose Ramirez.
When Lopez got out of the truck, a person walked up to him and shot him, Ramirez said.
Lopez was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:21 a.m., according to coroner’s records.
Police are trying to determine a suspect description.

David De Jesus Rios, a 27-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Wednesday, March 20, in the 700 block of North Fickett Street in Boyle Heights, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s records.
About 1:05 a.m., Rios and a friend went to the area, said Los Angeles Police Det. Jose Ramirez.
Rios got out of the car they were riding in and was talking to another person who came up to him when he was shot, police said. It’s unknown who walked up to Rios and shot him. Rios was not involved with gangs, police said.
Rios was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:50 a.m., according to coroner’s records.

Adolfo Amador, a 14-year-old Latino teenager, died Thursday, March 14, after he was shot in the 300 block of North St. Louis Street in Boyle Heights, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s records.
About 11:45 a.m. on March 13, Adolfo was standing on the sidewalk when a person approached him, said Los Angeles Police Det. Jose Ramirez. The two engaged in a brief conversation, then the person pulled out a gun and shot Adolfo, police said.
Police said the dispute was related to gangs.
Adolfo was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:23 a.m., according to coroner’s records.
The suspected shooter was identified as Juan Garcia, a 21-year-old Latino, police said.
Garcia was charged March 19 with one count of murder with a gun and with gang allegations, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.

Ruben Richard Vera, a 52-year-old Latino, was found dead Sunday, Feb. 24, in the 3700 block of Beswick Street in Boyle Heights, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
Shortly before 4 p.m., Vera was found inside a motor home by a friend, said Los Angeles police Det. Jose Ramirez. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy by the coroner’s office revealed that he died of a stab wound.
Coroner’s records show that there were no weapons found at the scene. It’s unclear what led to the stabbing, police said.
Detectives are searching for witnesses.

Francisco Ruiz Morones, a 60-year-old Latino, died Monday, Jan. 28, after he was assaulted days earlier in the 2800 block of Lancaster Avenue in Boyle Heights, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s records.
About 3:30 p.m. Jan. 24, Morones was found unconscious on a sidewalk, said Los Angeles Police Det. Jose Ramirez.
Morones was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead four days later. Initially it was unclear whether foul play was possible, Ramirez said.
An autopsy and toxicology tests revealed that Morones was not suffering from a medical emergency but had suffered blunt force trauma to his head, police said.
Investigators declined to say what may have happened to Morones, citing the ongoing investigation.

Jose Albert Holguin, a 31-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Tuesday, Jan. 8, near East 1st and South Soto streets in Boyle Heights, according to Los Angeles County medical-examiner coroner’s records.
About 6:40 p.m., Holguin was riding in a car with another person when they stopped outside a liquor store, said Los Angeles Police Det. Jose Ramirez.
Holguin got out of the vehicle, then came back with a gunshot wound.
The other person drove him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:14 p.m., according to coroner’s records.
Police said no arrests have been made and did not provide a suspect description.
