James Renee White Jr. 21: Killed in an officer-involved shooting May 12 in North Hollywood.

Joseph Richard Flores, 18: Shot to death May 11 in Pico Rivera.

Calvin Williams, 38: Shot to death May 10 in Green Meadows.

Jacoby Revel Plummer, 26: Shot to death May 10 in Broadway-Manchester.

Omar Maurice Williams, 18: Shot and killed May 5 in Rancho Dominguez.

Jason Jonathan Pina, 20: Shot and killed May 5 in Rancho Dominguez.

Vincent Vasquez, 26: Shot to death May 4 in downtown Los Angeles.

Ricardo Hernandez, 25: Died May 4, a day after being shot in Boyle Heights.

Sergio Galvan, 18: Shot to death May 1 in Van Nuys.

Ana Ortiz, 19: Shot to death April 30 in Hyde Park.

Osmin Wilfredo Campos Serna, 21: Stabbed to death April 25 in Vermont Square.

Kevin Quincy Williams, 32: Shot to death during a robbery April 25 in Harvard Park.

Michael Maurice Hess, 47: Fatally stabbed April 23 in Long Beach. Prosecutors determined that Hess' killer acted in self defense; no charges were filed.

Joanna Espinoza, 15: Shot to death April 23 in Willowbrook.

Omar Duran Saunders, 39: Shot to death April 22 in Hyde Park.

Roqueyro Cipriano Vasquez, 30: Shot to death April 19 in Westlake.

Rigoberto Carlos Gutierrez, 32: Shot to death April 15 in Pico-Union.

Miguel Padron, 52: Shot to death April 7 in North Hollywood.
