Michael Francis Williams, a 66-year-old black male, died Saturday, Dec. 12, after sustaining blunt force trauma in Watts, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Davon Brance Williams, a 24-year-old black man, was shot and killed Friday, Nov. 27, in the 11200 block of Zamora Avenue in Watts, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
Shortly before 9:45 p.m., Williams was in a courtyard with several others when there was a dispute, said LAPD Det. Dave Garrido.
Williams tried to intervene to break up the fight when a black man pulled out a gun and opened fire, Garrido said.
Williams got into his car, a dark-colored sedan, and tried to drive himself to the hospital, but he collided with another vehicle, causing a crash at Imperial Highway and Alameda Street.
Williams was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:20 p.m., according to coroner’s records. The suspect is not in custody.

Elijah Galbreath, a 16-year-old teenager, was shot and killed Sunday, Sept. 27, in the 1900 block of East 103rd Street in Watts, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
About 2:20 p.m. Galbreath was walking west on East 103rd when a light-colored sedan approached and a person got out, walked up behind Galbreath and shot him, said LAPD Officer Ronald Kingi.
"I don't think he had a chance," Kingi said. "You're walking in your own neighborhood in broad daylight and you don't think something like this is going to happen."
The shooter sped away and Galbreath was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2:46 p.m.

Kevin Charles Goodrum Jr., a 34-year-old black man, died Sunday, Aug. 16, after he was shot in the 2100 block of East 115th Street in Watts, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
On Saturday Aug. 15 about 9:44 p.m., Goodrum was hanging out with others in the parking lot in the Imperial Courts housing development when a man walked up and began shooting at the group, said LAPD Det. Dave Garrido.
The gunman then got into a dark-colored sedan, Garrido said.
Goodrum and a 49-year-old woman were injured. Both were taken to a hospital. Goodrum was pronounced dead at 1:41 a.m. on Aug. 16, according to coroner’s records. The woman was struck by bullet fragments and was treated and released.

James Conwall Daniels Jr., a 51-year-old black man died Wednesday, March 18, five days after he was shot in the 2100 block of East 102nd Street in Watts, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
About 8:40 p.m. on Friday, March 13, Daniels was sitting in a minivan talking to a 24-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man when a person walked up and opened fire, said LAPD Det. Dave Garrido. All three people were struck.
Daniels was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead March 18 at 11:20 p.m. The other two people are expected to survive.

Kinshasa Togon Jackson, a 39-year-old black man, was found fatally wounded Friday, Feb. 13, in the 1200 block of East 106th Street in Watts, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
About 3:40 a.m., Jackson was found in the front yard of a home. Paramedics pronounced him dead at 3:57 a.m., according to coroner’s records.
The home where Jackson was found was not his own, but he had family in the area. It is unknown whether a gunman drove by or walked up to Jackson, LAPD Det. Rick Gordon said.
Police are looking for witnesses.
