Michael Alonzo Smith, a 35-year-old Black male, died Wednesday, June 10, after being shot near 1745 W. 69th St. in Harvard Park, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.
Rodney Lamont Hudson, a 29-year-old black man, died Friday, Sept. 13, after he was shot in the 1700 block of West Florence Avenue in Harvard Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
On Aug. 5, about 10:30 p.m., Hudson was walking out of a smoke shop when he was confronted by two people who shot him, said Los Angeles police Det. Dean Vinluan.
It appeared that Hudson was followed from the store when he was shot.
The assailants left the scene in a dark-colored SUV, police said.
Hudson was taken to a hospital and was pronounced dead more than a month later, on Sept. 13 at 2:26 p.m., according to coroner's reocrds.
Jomari Henderson, a 22-year-old black man, and William Ewell, a 24-year-old black man, were each charged with murder with the allegation that Henderson discharged the gun, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.

Anthony Winters, a 42-year-old black man, died Tuesday, April 9, after he was shot in 7000 block of South Western Avenue in Harvard Park, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s records.
On Monday, April 8, at 11:55 p.m., officers responded to a call of a shooting and found Winters wounded on the sidewalk, said Los Angeles police Det. Dave Dilkes.
Paramedics responded and pronounced Winters dead at the scene at 12:15 a.m. April 9.
Investigators are still trying to determine whether a person walked up to Winters or shot at him from a vehicle.
Winters lived with his sister and was not a gang member, police said.
Detectives are looking for witnesses.

Annette Jazmin Najera, a 23-year-old Latino female, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, after being shot in Harvard Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Paul Sepulveda Garibaldi, a 41-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Wednesday, Sept. 12, in the 5900 block of South Denker Avenue in Harvard Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
Shortly before 8 p.m., Garibaldi and another man were walking in an alley in the area when a light-colored sedan pulled up, said Los Angeles Police Det. Chris Barling. A person got out of the backseat of the car and fired at the two men, Barling said, striking both.
Garibaldi was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:33 p.m., according to coroner’s records. The other man is expected to survive.
Police were nearby, overheard the shooting and followed the car, Barling said.
The shooter, later identified as Marlon Miller, a 36-year-old black man, jumped out and police were able to arrest him, Barling said.

Eddie Rosendo Lino, a 23-year-old black man, was shot and killed Sunday, June 18, in the 5700 block of Denker Avenue in Harvard Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
Shortly before 4:30 p.m., Lino was walking north on Denker Avenue when a vehicle pulled over and a person got out, Los Angeles Police Det. Dave Garrido said.
The person walked up to Lino, shot him, then got back in the vehicle, which fled east on West 58th Street, Garrido said.
Lino had just left a relative’s home and was walking to pick up some food, Garrido said.
Lino was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:08 p.m., according to coroner’s records.
Lino’s wife posted on Facebook that her husband was her “fairy tale dream that came true,” and a “great, caring, loving husband but an even greater Dad.”

Carlos Alberto Martinez, a 61-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Sunday, May 7, in the 6500 block of South Normandie Avenue in Harvard Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
About 8 p.m., Martinez was inside the store he owned, Martinez Market, along with a cashier, when two men wearing skintight hooded sweatshirts walked in, Los Angeles Police Det. Dave Garrido said.
One of the men, who had a gun, pointed it at Martinez, who also was armed. The two men then exchanged gunfire, Garrido said.
Martinez was struck during the shooting and was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:10 p.m., according to coroner’s records.
Later that night, detectives were notified of a gunshot victim at a local hospital and determined that the man was one of the suspects in the armed robbery, Garrido said.

Lloyd Allen Craig, a 33-year-old black man, died Wednesday, April 5, in the 1600 block of West 56th Street in Harvard Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
About 8:30 a.m., Craig was on the sidewalk, walking up to a person he knew who was standing nearby, when a black sedan drove by, said Los Angeles Police Det. Chris Barling.
At least one person opened fire from the sedan, striking Craig multiple times, Barling said.
Craig was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:51 a.m., according to coroner’s records.
Barling said no words were exchanged between Craig and the occupants of the sedan before the shooting. The car continued traveling west on West 56th Street until it was out of view, he said

Jenell Gamble-Kendrick, a 73-year-old black woman, was shot and killed Tuesday, Feb. 14, in the 1700 block of West 60th Street in Harvard Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
About 7 p.m., Gamble-Kendrick got into an argument with her husband, said Los Angeles Police Det. Nathan Kouri.
The fight escalated, and Gamble-Kendrick began hitting her husband with her cane, Kouri said.
Her husband, identified by police as Carven Nathaniel Kendrick, became frustrated, went into the bedroom to retrieve his shotgun, then shot his wife in their living room, a few feet away from a bouquet of red roses, Kouri said.
Kendrick then walked to a relative’s home and told the relative that he had just shot his wife. He stayed at the scene until police arrived, Kouri said.
Gamble-Kendrick was pronounced dead at the scene.

Brandon Tatum, a 23-year-old black man, was shot and killed Wednesday, Jan. 11, in the 6100 block of South Harvard Boulevard in Harvard Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
About 9:30 p.m., Tatum was walking southbound on South Harvard Boulevard when one or more people walked up and began shooting, said Los Angeles Police Det. Stacey Szymkowiak.
The attacker or attackers may have run to a vehicle, but police don’t yet have a description.
Tatum was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:44 p.m., according to coroner’s records.
Tatum was not a gang member, but police are looking into the possibility that the suspect or suspects were gang members.
