Jesse Andrew Lynn, a 56-year-old black man, was fatally shot Sunday, Sept. 2, in the 600 block of West Venice Way in Inglewood, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
Lynn, a resident of the South Los Angeles community of Gramercy Park, was visiting his girlfriend in her apartment when he was shot by another man about 3 a.m., according to Inglewood Police Capt. Mark Fried and a news release from the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.
Police arrested a suspect, Maurice Ledon Marshall, 41, at an Inglewood motel on Sept. 5 on suspicion of murder, according to an Inglewood Police Department news release.
Lynn was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:15 a.m., according to coroner’s records. The cause of death was listed as a gunshot wound to the head.
