Jordan Michael Griffin, a 18-year-old black male, died Thursday, Sept. 19, after being shot in Long Beach, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.
Melissa Lourdes Lopez, 16
Melissa Lourdes Lopez, a 16-year-old Latina teenager, was shot and killed Sept. 18 in the 800 block of Bayview Avenue in Wilmington, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s records.
About 3:11 p.m., Melissa was standing in a group of people who had gathered to memorialize a man who was killed at the same location in March 2018, said Los Angeles Police Det. David Cortez.
A person walked up and began firing, striking four people.
Melissa was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:20 p.m., according to coroner’s records.
Alex Gutierrez, 24, was also struck. He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead at 4:49 p.m., according to coroner’s records.
Gutierrez was the brother of the person who was being memorialized that day.
Two other women, a bystander in her 70s and another young adult who was with the group, were wounded but not seriously.

Simbarashe Vouai Sherry, a 35-year-old black male, died Tuesday, Sept. 17, after being shot in Willowbrook, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.
Eric Roy Guillory, 57
Eric Roy Guillory, a 57-year-old black man, was shot and killed Tuesday, Sept. 17, near West 2nd and South Centre streets in San Pedro, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
About 11:30 p.m., Guillory was playing a game at a picnic table inside the Rancho San Pedro housing development when a vehicle pulled up, said Los Angeles Police Officer Jeffrey Tiffin.
Multiple rounds were fired at the group, and Guillory was struck once, Tiffin said.
The vehicle, a dark-colored sedan, then fled.
Paramedics responded and Guillory was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:44 p.m., according to coroner’s records.
Britney Henderson, Guillory’s daughter, said her father lived in the housing development.
Guillory helped Henderson take care of her four children, ages 15, 12, 8 and 3, and took his grandchildren to and from school on weekdays.

Joseph Anthony Baca, 33
Joseph Anthony Baca, a 33-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Monday, Sept. 16, in the 1700 block of Firestone Boulevard in Florence-Firestone, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s records.
Shortly before midnight the night before, Baca was shot in a parking lot in the area, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Baca ran a short distance before collapsing. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:03 a.m. Sept. 16, according to coroner’s records.
It's unclear whether the gunman shot from a car or a vehicle.

Kamryn Barry Stone, 18
Kamryn Barry Stone, an 18-year-old black man, was shot and killed Sept. 15 near Arroyo Boulevard and Seco Street at the Pasadena Rose Bowl, according to authorities and coroner’s records.
About 11:22 p.m., Pasadena police responded to the area after reports of a fight and a shooting, according to a news release from the department. Officers discovered two victims, Stone, and a 51-year-old man, both of whom were taken to a hospital.
The 51-year-old is expected to survive, but Stone was pronounced dead.
Police said the motive that led to the altercation remains under investigation and that the incident “may not” be random.
The victim’s father told KCBS-TV Channel 2 that it was Stone's first day working with a cleaning company at the Rose Bowl. Stone, he said, was a high school graduate and a student at West Los Angeles College.

Rodney Lamont Hudson, 29
Rodney Lamont Hudson, a 29-year-old black man, died Friday, Sept. 13, after he was shot in the 1700 block of West Florence Avenue in Harvard Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
On Aug. 5, about 10:30 p.m., Hudson was walking out of a smoke shop when he was confronted by two people who shot him, said Los Angeles police Det. Dean Vinluan.
It appeared that Hudson was followed from the store when he was shot.
The assailants left the scene in a dark-colored SUV, police said.
Hudson was taken to a hospital and was pronounced dead more than a month later, on Sept. 13 at 2:26 p.m., according to coroner's reocrds.
